About Dance Attack! Studios

Owners Elaine and Lee Pinto are devoted to creating a comfortable, exciting place to learn and have fun.  Dance Attack! Performing Arts has settled now on Blossom Hill Road, after quite an odyssey.  We started in Santa Clara in October of 1994 in an industrial park.  We lost our lease, found this spot in Los Gatos, and opened our new doors in February 1999.  This family neighborhood has mushroomed our student enrollment to over 800 students!  We hold auditions each year for our Performing Companies.  These groups take many classes to keep improving their technique, plus many rehearsal classes to develop a repertoire of dances to perform at community events and competitions.  Over the years the company dancers have performed at many community festivals and charitable events.  The team was the subject of a public access television documentary called “Rhythm-N-Moshun.”  The 2003/2004 Performing Company brought home many high honors from competitions and dance conventions.  The current team, 2004/2005 has expanded to over 50 members!  If this might be a goal for you or your dancer, we can help you decide what kind of classes to sign up for.  Dance Attack! Is also home to B-Syde, a professional adult dance troupe performing all over California.

Elaine and Lee Pinto are both native Californians who met at Stanford where they both worked as microbiologists.  Dance Attack! Performing Arts was born in the wake of Virtual Escape, an “under 21 dance club”, and several years of helping Sioux Lehner manage Dance Attack! in Mountain View.  This business has been an outlet for Lee’s many creative talents, including the music mixing and video work, which is evident throughout our shows, performances and competitions.  We are thrilled to have our voice and acting programs going well this year, and have integrated the nicely into our big shows which we perform every other year.  We will continue to find ways to showcase the talents of our budding performing artists.
